PROCOBRE
is a non profit civil organization, whose objective is to promote
the use and consumption of copper in the country.
- We
are experts in copper.
- We
are part of an international information network.
- We
are interested in your opinions and/or ideas.
In
order to fullfill its objectives, PROCOBRE:
- Collects,
processes and disseminates information on copper and
its use.
- Proposes
and sponsors activities and research leading to the increase
of copper consumption.
- Facilitates,
coordinates and promote the formulation and transfer of technology
by means of its Data Centre.
- Trains
the final user on the importance of safety (accident prevention).
- Offers
on the job in the use of copper, its alloys and compounds.
- Invests
in education by channeling resources.
- Continually
appraises and develops projects through committees mostly
of professionals that represent associates and institutions
related to PROCOBRE. The Electric Committee and the Education
Committee are presently active.
PROCOBRE
wishes to approach the enterprises and institutions which
are interested in subjects related to copper in order to have
a larger number of associates and collaborators in the short
term.

COPPER
is the main export product of Peru and it also provides the
country with a larger amount of foreign exchange. Now a days
we are the sixth producer in the world and we continue moving
forward.
ELECTRICAL
AND ELECTRONICS

Power
cables, telephone cables, transformers, engines and generators,
distribution equipment and lighting accessories, among others.
Its high conductivity should be underlined.
INDUSTRIAL
PARTS AND EQUIPMENTS

Screws,
bolts, valves, machine components, condensers, etc. Its resistance
to corrosion should be highlighted.
CONSTRUCTION
(non electrical applications)

Tubes
and water fittings, central heating and air conditioning, water
heaters, door locks, tubes, gas and oil fittings, roofs and
other architectural use. Its mechanical qualities, its resistance
to corrosion, its thermic conductivity and its effect as a fungicide
are outstanding.

electrical, carburetors, benzine pumps, brakes, gearboxes, etc.
