COOPER IN THE ENVIRONMENT

The use of copper piping reduces the presence of pathogenic elements in drinking water, since it does not allow the growth of microorganisms. Various experiments, carried out to study the behavior of virus and bacteria, such as polio, legionella, pseudomonas, fluorescens, subtilis bacillus, etc., confirm this antimicrobial behavior. In all these cases, growth of new colonies was inhibited and the presence of the virus or bacteria decreased, in some cases even 100%.

Drinking water is usually free of pathogen elements, but it is possible for virus, bacteria, fungi and parasites to develop in public systems. Copper piping is then an efficient protection against the presence of these organisms and the possibility of getting some disease. Copper is not a porous material so it protects water from pollution by other agents.

COATING WHICH PROVIDE SAFETY

Surfaces treated with copper coating, as well as bronze objects, such as doorknobs and handles, help reduce dispersion of pathogenic organisms. Hospitals and clinics have reduced incidental transference of microorganisms by using this coating for handles and banisters, as well as the use of antibacterial paint with a copper base. .

A GOOD ALLY OF AGRICULTURE

Copper is a vital element of soil fertilizers that present copper deficit (values lower than 30 mg/Kg) as well as by being part of biocides, bactericides, insecticides, fungicides and wood preservatives, since it has evidenced its efficiency to combat more than 300 plant diseases. Due to its essential character for plants and aquatic life, copper in ecosystems can recycle the biota, contributing to maintaining the equilibrium and presenting biodiversity. .

Copper is a Vital Metal

The vital role played by copper in the health of men, animals and plants is fascinating and complex.

Undoubtedly, it is a valuable and essential element.
Without Copper Life Would not be Possible
