STANDARDIZATION

The Dry Natural Gas Committee chaired by the Peruvian Institute of Gas of the National University of Engineering is still working.  A new committee has been organized this year under the leadership of SENCICO.  This committee is expected to develop regulations to be considered in the National Regulation for the Construction with respect to the gas.  Thus, international regulations and experiences from other Latin American countries are currently under analysis.



TRAINING


Procobre and the magazine COSTOS are scheduling three seminars during the year.  The first seminar “Gas projects in construction using copper pipes” was carried out on June 18 and 19.  Almost 160 professionals attended the meeting.

Procobre and SENCICO continue their common purpose of training technicians.  The course “Uses and advantages of copper in gas installations and other applications” has been prepared.

The first course took place from June 11 to 22 in SENCICO Los Olivos and the second course from July 7 to 10.  50 technicians were trained in both courses.  And, the third course is expected to be held in SENCICO San Borja during the month of August.

PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL

It has been edited the Technical Bulletin TubiCobre 2003-1 that gives a detailed explanation of the Gas´s Installations, not only GLP but also GN, saying why the copper pipes are the best selection for these instalations.
